LESS ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE
Wetsuit straps
Based on the wild Atlantic coast of Ireland we upcycle our watch straps from discarded wetsuits to stop them ending up in landfill, and so you can have a surf memory with you at all times.
Ocean Plastic straps
Going one step further, our ocean plastic straps are weaved from strands of ocean bound plastic so you can enjoy your adventures knowing you've helped clean the ocean.
Design before marketing
At Less we are design focused, the minimal yet bold watches are a result of hundreds of sketches, extensive prototyping and obsessive attention to detail all with the goal of giving you stylish, comfortable and eco-conscious products
Want to know more about the brand?
See below how a small brand based in the west of Ireland is proving that:
luxury design doesn't have to destroy the planet
I wanted to design for people who value good design but also the environment.
People who are not afraid to stand out and are always ready to have fun, the campers and hikers among us.
“I really related to the notion of ‘post luxury’ people who want to be rich in experiences and friendships not necessarily in fancy cars and penthouses.”
Our aesthetic
We’re honest about the Irish weather, its gloomy, wild and rough.
And that's what makes it unique and Irish.
Our art direction and photography highlight this.
We highlight real, attainable weekend adventures in the wilds of Ireland.
The popularity of sea swimming, ice baths, saunas and seaweed baths are all acknowledgements of this ‘outdoors no-matter-the-weather’ market.
Inspired by the wild atlantic coast
The grey limestone and golden bog grass found in Connemara in the west of Ireland create the colour palette for the brand.
This is also a play on the silver and gold associated with old luxury which the brand is transcending.
Less pollution, Less plastic, Less wasting time.
Less
Began with old surf wetsuits
Old surf wetsuits were originally used to make the watch straps as neoprene takes years to break down and the wetsuits carried sentimental value to many who wore them.
Making a bigger impact by using ocean bound plastic
We partnered with TIDE who work with local communities where plastic pollution is at its worst to remove plastic from plastic clogged waterways before it reaches the ocean.
The plastic is uncontaminated by saltwater so can be shredded, melted and then extruded into strands. These strands are woven and dyed to make a durable textile.
Completly unique design
In a world of drop-shipping and white label products, creating a completely unique product from scratch is worth the time and effort. As our founder has years of experience in industrial design, crafting a completely unique product was always top priority.
